The Cebu Provincial Capitol in Cebu City

The Cebu Provincial Capitol is the seat provided for the Provincial Government for the Cebu. It houses the offices of the Governor, Legislative Hall for the Provincial and the National Government Offices.

Nearby the Capitol compound are also Cebu government offices like the courthouses, office of the metropolitan trail courts and regional trial courts. This western architecture are copied and resemblance  after the United Capitol building in Washington D.C. The three level U-Shaped structure is capped by a dome like and flanked by two level wings.  It is painted in white with a word that says " The Authority of the Government emanated from the people. Erected A.D. MCMXXXVII" for the top of the front building.  The Cebu Provincial Capitol is the center of Cebu Province which means that it's the 0 point distance from the other provinces.

It is located at the north end of the Osmeña Boulevard and corner of Escario Street in Cebu City. The building was design and constructed under the Architect Juan Marcos Arellano y De Guzman and Civil Engineer Pedro Siochi y Angeles  which was started by 1937 and completed by 1938.

Getting there is easy.  You can ride a jeepney with a signage of Jones/Capitol. Just ask the driver or other locals if you opt to ride a jeepney. You can also ride a taxi just inform the driver to drop you at the Capitol. Be sure to bring your umbrella, sunglasses, hat and other sun protection.
